Z-QYX (pronounced zee quiks) was born in Fairfax, VA. He spent most of his early life in Stafford, and Woodbridge, VA.
He
started listening to rap at the age of 10. He would listen mostly to Eminem, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg. He started writing
his first rhymes in a composition notebook during school at the age of 12.
The name "Z-QYX" really originates from nowhere. He wanted a very unique name, and he found it. He put the four least
used letters of the alphabet and came up with the name.
He had no mentor, no teacher, no master; he taught himself.
QYX met T-$treet$ as they lived on the same street during their childhood. a couple years later after meeting $treet$,
he was introduced to a young kid who made beats, Tyree.
When QYX met $treet$, the $oldierz were created. "I always
wanted a military themed group, and i made it happen", said QYX. The rapper also wears a wristband that says "SUPPORT OUR
TROOPS" on it. Not only for the group, but for the men in women in Iraq and the Middle East. He never takes the wristband
off.
Z-QYX is a christian. He started going to church at the age of 14. His church is named Church on the Rock. A Girl from
his neighborhood showed him the church.
